Fellow travellers..
I am looking for ideas of places to visit/ mean of transport for my forthcoming journey/ adventure in the Far East. I have managed to take 4 weeks off and booked flights from Glasgow to Kuala Lumper.. so here is my current itinerary:
21st December - Arrive in KL and spend 1 night
Fly KL to Chaing Mai and spend circa 1 week
Chaing Mai to Chiang Rai on route to Laos via Chiang Kong and then Houixai
Stop over at Ban Pakbeng
Few days in Luang Prabang
Luang Prabang - Vang Vieng – Vientiane - Nong Khai
Nong Khai to Udon Thani and fly to Bangkok
Spend few days in Bangkok
Travel to a thai island for a few days then head back to KL – any ideas for quiet thai islands with remote beach huts/ bungalows??
