Yeah, I know...cigarettes...cigars....bad to worse I guess.

But also seriously: I hope you will succeed SassyKitty. I am actually smoking one right now, glass of wine with it. Feels good now, but I should quit one of these....uhm, years.

Actually, cigars have fewer "added chemicals" than do cigarettes so you are a bit better off. Okay, not that much but we switched and we smoke less in the process. Okay, still not good...

And, it's just about martini time so that means a smoke. Something tells me we're not helping Sassy very much in her quest to quit...

try the electronic cigarett,I have one since a few days.
You get your nicotin and maybe it will help to stop smoking.
look it up at the internet.
(I still like my normal cigaretts much better)

I've heard of a blow up girlfriend, but not an electric cigarette.

What will they think of next?

I had laser therapy on 3rd September of this year - I haven't smoked since. That said, I think it more the fact that I'd paid a week's cigarette money for the session and I was damned if I was smoking until I'd gotten my money's worth. Once I'd done a week, I figured that I could keep going.

All you people trying to quit...use any means you can. Except for Isadora's, which has some issues with it's effectiveness, I think. If will power doesn't cut it, get zapped, hire a thug to slap you whenever you reach for one, get a patch, hook yourself up to electrodes....whatever.

I've been off the coffin nails for four years. In the beginning I was mournful of quitting...MOURNFUL!!....that's how stupid the things are. They slowly kill you and you feel sad that you don't have one in your yap. I am so glad that I don't smoke anymore. More activity, more money, more health, more sex. There is no downside.

Hey man. It's hard....hardhardhard. If you slip a time, or a couple of times, it's understandable. But keep trying and don't beat yourself up about it. Those things are insidious pieces of shit that are deceitful and nasty. Of course they're going to trip you up a couple of times.

Good luck. Let me know when you are done and I'll go buy a pack, and we can dance all over the little fuckers together.

There are definitely effectiveness issues with my approach. I'm not very good at quitting. I've done it twice - lasting just over a year each time. You would think that would be the end of it but it wasn't. There would be the bumming a smoke here and there over drinks, then finally buying a pack and I'd be back at it. What used to be a pack a day habit is now down to about 5 cigarettes a day but smoking is still smoking.

Again, good luck and I hear Derek is a good dancer.
