Quoting joey22

I'm going to see Slumdog tomorrow night with my girl - it's a cool little arthouse cinema where you can enjoy the film with a chilled bottle of Leffe strong beer
Looking forward to it muchly;)

Joe,
Come back after you have seen Slumdog and let's know what you thought of it.

I went on Friday.

I loved it sooo much I was just smiling for like an hour afterwards. I honestly can't remember the last time I enjoyed a film so much. You've got to love any film that can make you laugh and cry and have you on the edge of your seat and is amazing visually.

I want to go and see it again.

6 hours and 45 mins to go til I get to see Slumdog. It seems that every one of my colleagues (we all sell tailor-made trips to India!) has seen it except me!

Very excited now!! Danny Boyle has certainly directed some of my favourite films of all time and Mumbai is easily my favourite city in the whole entire world - good combination!

Will gladly share my thoughts afterwards

I got to the cinema with ten minutes to spare and asked the chao for two tickets for Slumdog - sold out all week!! Blimey. Sounds like it is going to do pretty well.

Will post my thoughts next week.

In the meantime, I have begun thinking in some detail about a trip to India in September/October. I am lucky enough to get access to discounted flights and accommodation as I sell trips to India for a living. Why go there on holiday then I hear you ask? Well... my girlfriend has not been to India before and wants to know why I love it as much as I do. I thought I would cash in a few favours and treat us to a jaunt through the some of the north.

Should be fun....

back to work I go ;)

Saw this last night and really enjoyed it. I thought the acting was really good throughout too, especially considering some of the actors were so young. Definitely recommended.

I 've just seen Slumdog Millionaire, and all thumbs for VegasMike, you will not get a PM from me telling you I don't like this movie. I think it is really great. besides everything that is already mentioned, I have to say I love the music in this film. It is great to see that Danny Boyle teamed up with A.R. Rahman (the best composer of India) and M.I.A. to make the soundtrack for this film.

Go and see it, if you have the chance.

'Slumdog' was just nominated for 10 Academy Awards today. Best picture, best director included. This has to be the the little movie that could of 2008. With a miniscule budget, no stars, no advertising, 'Slumdog' has triumphed by being a great story well told. You will remember 'Slumdog' for many years, the other movies nominated will fade from your memory like an ordinary meal. I went to see 'Slumdog' again and just loved the movie & the music more than the first time I saw it.

Do yourself a favor and go see 'Slumdog Millionaire'.
