The snow is slowly drifting down from the sky, the trees are all dressed in white and it's Christmas Eve which means leaving shortly for Chicago. Yup, time to celebrate with the family. As much as the Bah Humbug moment (for me anyway) has lasted a bit longer than expected and I've been trying to move in with the Grinch for weeks, this Hallmark card view out my window reminds me that the little things in the world are truly a wonderment.

Beerman and I want to take this time to wish everyone Happy Holidays!!! No matter what your faith, or even lack there of, may you all find peace on earth and good will toward others. May you also enjoy good company, laughter, and a miracle or two.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy holidays! Yay Fred--you get to spend time with your mum and puppy!

Isa--keep the family butt-kicking to a minimum by keeping the rum to a maximum. That oughta do it. ;)

Oh! And guess what I saw advertised on the metro this morning? The re-release of Cut-Throat Island. You must have sent the vibe out to the universe, G!

Well, we were able to keep the butt-kicking to a minimum but it didn't stop the the MU from deciding K wasn't being a team player and voicing her opinion. Thankfully, K's lab assistant gave us a bottle of rum for Christmas so it came in very handy at the hotel that night. Since pro basketball was on the TV all day yesterday (Christmas), it allowed us to only spend about 3 hours (including the time it took to eat the lasagna for lunch) before heading home. Interfering with the games by actually having discussions is a no-no. And, K's brother "accidentally" kept one of K's CDs thinking he'd gotten it as a gift. We should be getting it back in the mail sometime before next Christmas. We celebrated once we got home by watching Casino Royale (Daniel Craig version). Nothing brings out the Christmas spirit like murder and mayhem.

It's a great movie even if it has Matthew Modine in it. Every good pirate needs a monkey.
