We're planning to go in December in Prague from Vienna by train.
We want to see first Vienna and a part of Austria, and next Prague: the museums, the castle, etc.... inside of the city.
But the questions is, what's about the around of the city, the forests and villages near of Prague???
We haven't any idea what we should visit....
If somebody can recommend us what's better to see in 2 days (yes, only have 2 days in Czech Republic!!!!)), we're thankful about all kind of opinions.
Thank you, & "Salut!"
Kuna Hora is 66km east of prague silver town in the old days, nothing changed in this town since 16th century, added to Unescos World heritge List (1996) ummmgood day trip, theres a freaky ossuary decorated with 40,000 human bones, arranged as bells chandelliiers ummm what else, the people are great, food and accomadation are cheap, you can email there info centre for any help (e-mail dltd). cant think of any other places at the mo, will have alook in my daiary
[ Edit: Sorry, no personal contact info in the forums ]
Prague is such an amazing place that you may not want to leave the inside of the city...so many beautiful things to see, not to mention fun nightlife! especially a 5-story discoteca that is like nothing you've ever seen. I'd also recommend checking out Innsbruck while in Austria...beautiful place. Have fun.
You should definitly try to get to the bone church in Kutna Hora (about an hour away ), its so surreal, but I also think that if you only have two days that there is plenty to see in Prague itself.... have a great time,
If you only have 2 days in Prague, suggest you visit the city and Kutna Hora since it is only one hr away by train. There is so much to see in Prague. Though Cesky Krumlov is a nice place you should visit, but it will take one whole day to make a day trip there, it's 3 hrs by bus to reach the town.
You may also want to visit an old 'unused' mine after the visitin the bone church... If my memory still serves me well, the mine is in the same town... within walking distance from bone church..
You can go underground into the mine and experience how it is like to be miner...
I personally had enjoyed that trip!
