Cheap places to stay in Fiji?

I am planning on staying in Fiji for 2 weeks during my rtw trip. Can anyone reccomend cheap places to stay? I have had a look at organised trips etc and they seem very expensive, as does anything STA travel suggests! Im interested in doing snorkling or treks but thats about it.
If anyone could give me any advice it would be great!!

Fiji isn't a cheapie destination but there are budget options on offer no worries there.

First-if you're at all skint avoid the tourist track into the Yasawas and Head East.

You can catch a bus to Suva from the highway in front of the Nadi Airport and maybe make it to Ovalau that day.

Me and a couple of friends went through Awesome Adventures Fiji and had a great time for what I thought was pretty cheap. They have all types of packages ranging from island jumping, stayputs, party cruise, all-inclusive etc. all of which are within Yasawa and Mamanuca islands. We stayed at Kuata Island and Beachcomber. Kuata is a very simple, laid back, and a beautiful island with extremely friendly natives that work there, Beachcomber is a small, nice, "party" island with lots of activities, and good food.
