You should try Hong Kong airport, it really is airport heaven!!!! Really peaceful and well laid out ( I am talking about the new airport terminal here, easily reached from the old terminal as it is right next to it) and you can get some great dim sum there! I loved it.

Since we're on the topic I'm going to bag Leonardo da Vinci airport in Rome - shocking, shocking processes. Queued up for about half an hour to get through a set of doors it eventually appeared you could just have walked through, then queued up for another hour to get through the metal detectors, and more queuing... got there 3 hours before the flight and made it to the gate about 5 minutes before scheduled takeoff... of course that was delayed too

Singapore was all class - lots of free activites. Got surprised in the toilet though when it starting automatically flushing before I was done... anyone else ever had this happen or do I just not know how to use the Singapore dunnies? :p

all the airports ive been to un australia have been fine, and ive been really surprised when flying outta london (busy with rude staff) to come to australia and have the woman checking my passport smiling and asking how i am and listening to the reply.

but london is hte worst. but its ok when youre flying in from an EU country... cos i get to jump the queue being a non EU passport holder WOO thats the best lol but then flying into oz... took a while cos our quarantine laws are so anal (for goo reason) and it takes agges to get ur bag cleared.

hong kong was a pretty good airport and wicked food!!!

It's not you. There is an electronic sensor on the toilet wall which detects motion/presence of object (human, in this case). Once it's been triggered by your presence, a timer starts counting and it will automatically flush after a programmed time even if you are still there. But sometimes, the flushing could also be triggered by a faulty sensor.
