I booked a flight to Rome that will arrive at Fiumicino around midnight.

How about getting to town? Afaik, Cotral and Terravision busses have all stopped running by then, as have Trenitalia trains. Anyone knows of a way to avoid having to take a taxi?

thanks!
Niels

Take a taxi. It will cost you about 40 Euros, but it's the easiest and fastest way to get into Rome. Also, it doesn't seem like you have too many options unless your Rome hotel offers a pick-up. I would check with them.

Tnx Joyce, but I don't suppose they'll carry you for just EUR40 during the night, or do they? Besides, my (unfortunately rather extensive) experience with Italian taxi drivers being what it is, I think I'd sooner go walking :)
