Hi, I'm in Vancouver in Canada and am so mad to see the Northern Lights. I need to do this as cheaply as possible and on the wend. I was told the BC Ferries would get me to a place to see them but when i looked on the website i didnt understand where to go. Please please please help me. I know the best time to see them is winter and its now January.

The best time to see them varies wildly depending on solar activity. Right now it's very quiet, and you need to go to the far north to see any activity at all. (Basically within the green band on this website, which no ferry will do.)
I don't know how long you're in Canada for, but I'd keep an eye on that website and its predictions; it might yet get better.

Look for a cheap flight to Whitehorse or Dawson City and hope for the best.

Oh Yes it's freezing cold and everything is crazy expensive.
