Shopping Kuala Lumpur vs Hong Kong which one?

We are doing a round the world trip and would like to include a shopping trip as one of our stops. We have already been to Thailand and enjoyed the shopping in Bangkok and are looking for a similar experience but with the added bonus of experiencing a different culture, hence Kuala Lumpur vs Hong Kong. If anyone has some advice about which one would give me a better all-round experience eg. shopping, culture, people, value for money and food (being an ex-chef) it would be greatly appreciated. Mainly interested in clothes, nick-nacks and possibly some electronics. I have no issues with buying fakes as long as they are reasonable quality.
