Myself and my girlfriend are going to asia in October. We fly into Bangkok and leave Bangkok 14 days later.
At the moment we're thinking of the following...
Bangkok - 1.5 days
Singapore - 2 days
Tokyo - 2 and a bit days
Hong Kong - 2.5 days
Bangkok - 2.5 days
In Thailand we'd like to do a day trip... see some of the country - jungles, rivers, the coast etc.
We don't mind doing it as a private tour or even flying out first thing and back last flight.
Thoughts... Kanchanaburi, Phuket or Chiang Mai (the latter would be day trips by plane).
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Euan
I agree with the previous post - drop a few places! You will be wasting all of your time flying everywhere. It's not just the flight time you also have to be at the airport 2 hours before your flight - plus that is a lot of checking in and checking out of hotels. Stick with Thailand, stay in Bangkok for a few days and then when you are there perhaps book a flight to Siem Reap or even Singapore for 3 or 4 days and then back to Thailand again. You got too many countries on your list for such a short amount of time available.
In Thailand it is real easy to get tours to Kachanaburi, rafting, riding elephants - lots of stuff - through travel agencies. They do this all the time, they will have a menu selection of popular places to see. Find a tour the day before and leave the following morning. Tour company picks you up at your hotel and returns you there. Same for Chiang Mai and Phuket - use travel agencies.
All of Thailand is pretty warm and sunny, you do not actually have to be at a beach to get some sun.
Good luck.
