Myself and my partner are looking into travelling next year, as well as North America and Thailand, we are looking into going to Australia, however from what i have seen it looks quite expensive.

We were wanting to go to Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, and also Queenstown in New Zealand.

I looked at travelling from Sydney to Melbourne and that was around 200 (not actually sure what currency that was but i assumed sterling!?).

Can anybody give me advice on how expensive it is please as we will be on a budget.

We are also looking at staying in the cheapest accom which i think will be hostels.

Any info or advice would be great.

Thanks,
Shelley

it is more expensive than asia and with falling £ its not helping! the cheapest way to travel is to try and hook up with other travellers and share transport costs in a hired car, bought car or campervan.

if budget is really tight though maybe can do a bit more of asia and have the perfect excuse to come to aus and nz later on??

:)
