According to the site it is.

Can't say I disagree. 6 months of living in a multi-million dollar property, exploring around, and commenting on it for $150,000? I'd take it.

Not sure if that will get edited out. Hope not. Good luck for anyone who actually tries to apply, gonna be a tough hire!

Oh yes, it isn't a fluke or too good to be true. It is being put on by the Australian government as a campaign to increase tourism. Whether it works or not, a small gamble like this isn't a bad idea. Apparently over 200,000 people have already logged on to check it out.

The one that gets this job, is not your average person. I have read that they put a lot of effort on finding the perfect person for this.

Is that 150.000 Ozzie dollar? That's nothing

But you have to explore around under water, dive deep to map things, and the commenting is not as easy as it seems as well.

Anyway, I'll rather spend my 6 months spending money over there...if that is possible

Greg 'broke' this story here a few days ago. The job almost seemed to good to be true, considering all it included. It seems it's legit, but more intended as a promotion for Tourism Queensland than that it's just a 'regular' job. And it's worked too!! The site crashed yesterday due to the traffic it's received. CNN, BBC, Techcrunch and pretty much every single other news source out there have covered this. There's an interesting post on travolution about the traffic just a few days in.
