because I am on the brink of finalising another trip to India.
I am lucky enough to be able to access cheap flights and discounted/occasionally free accommodation as I sell trips to India for a living.
Choosing where to go was hard. My girlfriend has not been to India before and wants to know what all the fuss is about so I wanted to put together an itinerary that covers a wide range of sights/scenery/sounds/smells etc.
This is what I have come up with-
Delhi x1 night
Overnight train to Dharamsala
Dharamsala x2 nights
Basunti x3 nights
Amritsar x2 nights
Amritsar to Lucknow by overnight train (x1 night)
Lucknow x1 night
Lucknow to Varanasi by day train (8 hours)
Varanasi x2 nights
Khajuraho x2 nights
Khajuraho to Jhansi by car
Train to Agra
Agra x1 night
Afternoon train to Delhi, arrives 8pm.
Find some dinner and head to airport.
Fly home from Delhi at 2am.
18 days. Lovely. 
So excited - I haven't been to Amritsar or Khajuraho before. Basunti is a kick-ass retreat in the foothills. Varanasi is mind-blowing and I can't wait to be back there.
