Hiya,

I am planning to go to Peru around the 16th of January 2010, staying one week in Lima and one week in Cusco. For hostel stays, food (cooking own at hostel), travel and entry to Machu Picchu, I have a estimate of £350 (not including flights).

I then plan to go to Rio de Janeiro for three weeks, however the hostels seem pricey, does anyone know of any areas which are close by for cheaper hostels? Also how much roughly is it for food both cooking own and eating out?

I then plan to go to the Lguazu Falls staying in the area for about 4 days, however there are a number of airports close to this, any sugesstions for the best one? Also how much is it roughly to visit the falls, I cannot find this info on any of the websites.

Thanx, Elle.

when you are in rio stay at riobackpackers. It is just a few blocks from copacabana beach and 10 minutes walk to Ipanema plus you'll meet some really cool people there. they also provide loads of activities. have a look at my blog for some information on iguassu http://playnowworklater.travellerspoint.com
