Hi, I'm planning a trip to Bali 1st week of Feb 09, any suggestions on where to stay. What is there to see and do in Bali? All suggestions are welcome.

How long will you be in Bali?
What are your interests (surfing, snorkelling, diving, shopping, partying, culturaling???)
Was there twice last year and will be back there on Feb 11th for a while.
Kuta, Legian, Ubud, Lovina, Nusa Dua?????

I've heard so much about the Balineese culture , that's something i'd really like to explore. I also am quite interested in snorkelling and the rice terreces. My husband and myself are planning a 4 day visit together and i may stay another 2 days or so. Can you also tell me if Bali is a safe place for a female to stay alone?

Can we get the visa for Indonesia on arrival or do we have to get it prior to arriving ?

Thanks

Hi Marina,

are you Singaporean? All tourists from ASEAN countries can enter Bali for 30-days without any other visa. On arrival, bypass the visa line (the ones where you'll see lots of Westerners and Japanese queueing to pay USD10 or so for their short-term visa) and go to the line of customs officers behind them. If in doubt just ask any of the airport staff. (Finally ASEAN is good for something!! )

I was just there in November so feel free to ask anything.

Bali has been a fascination with me for quite some time and finally, I have started planning for that much-awaited adventure trip to the region. I am seeking advice from those with first-hand experience of traveling to Bali, and Lombok maybe, to help plan the perfect trip to this wonderful place. There are a few options I am willing to consider, one of which I am sharing here, it's an adventure trip to the region featured on ekoVenture website. Have a look at it: -snip-
The trip offers a lot of exciting activities which includes sailing, kayaking and nature exploration amongst other. What do you think about it?

[ Edit: Sorry, no promos please. ]

Is that $800 per person? Looks like it would be an amazing experience but that's a lot
