I am going travelling hopefully from Oct 28th 2009 until March 5th 2010. (approx 4months).
I need advice on where to fly to and from?
The plan is:
Thailand, vietnam, laos,Cambodia Approx 2 months
New Zealand Approx 1 month
Australia approx 1 month
I kinda have an idea of where to fly to and from within N.Z (In Christchurch out Queens town) and Oz (in Brisbane out sydney).
Where would it be best to fly to and out from when i get to asia to see the areas easily that I want too. Any help would be greatly appreciated?
If there are any better suggestions for flying in and out of N.Z and Oz it would be good to hear also.
For Asia it doesn't matter that much regarding the route, but in that part Bangkok has the best connections from Europe and to Oz/Nz.
You can do a loop in two months, travelling either north towards Laos and down Vietnam and west via Cambodia, or the other way around.
As you can see here there are only regular connections between Queenstown and Sydney, assuming you want to fly out of New Zealand interationally. Of course, you can always connect to another city. I would advice though to fly into Auckland and out of Christchurch which basically gives you much more choice (might be cheaper as well, don't know).
Also, because you want to fly out of Sydney and into Brisbane, you need to visit Oz first, still assuming you definately want to fly out of Queenstown, which has no regular connection with Brisbane (only seasonal....guess that's in their summer, so you might be lucky)
oh thats great! many thanks for your help!!
Im doing something similar ... i fly from manchester to hong kong, over land to singapore, fly into sydney and out of sydney to christchurch, over land to auckland, auckland to fiji, from fiji to las angeles, LA to NYC then home!
oh wicked. these have both been a great help! thanks
