Me and a couple friends are planning to backpack all over europe and surrounding area after we graduate...now see the problem is, is i want to go really bad, i've been 2 times already but this is going to be the ultimate trip opposed to the other times. We are planning to go for as long as we can, we will also have WHV's in a centralized country just in case the funds start to run low. But i just can't seem to let go of how great things are progressing here for me, and i'm scarred if i leave things will return back to what they used to be. I wouldn't mind to even start living over seas, but i fear the things that i have left behind could be heading to greatness...

Like for instance i'm in a band, and we're really close to our big break, and now with plans of leaving i feel that we won't catch that break and things will go to the pits, especially if i stay in a country for a really long time...do you think people can be persuaded to hold off for about a year or so, without changeing their mind's? I don't know really what to do, does anyone think they might have advice on this topic. I know that's asking alot but if you can help it would be greatly aprreciated, thanks in advance.

This is a tricky situation, but one thing is for sure, you should never go through life with 'what if's' hanging over you.
Is it possible you could let your mates go on without you, hold back, see if the big break comes and if it doesn't then perhaps go off on the ultimate trip alone?
We all have dreams of living abroad but usually this is simply a case of the grass being greener etc. If there is any possibility of your dreams and ambitions being fulfiled in your own country (and big breaks don't come along very often) then I would say 'go for it'. The rest of the world will always be there for you to explore at a later date. If the band does not work out as you planned, then travelling can be your back up plan. Win win situation. Tough on your mates, but life is tough. You have to do what is right for you ;)
I am assuming that your mates are not in the band with you. If they are, then talk to them, they may all be having the same doubts, each of you worried about addressing the issue of holding off.

I wish you every luck and look forward to seeing your CD in the charts

Often people who ask 'big' questions like this know the answer. If you've taken the time to go to a travellers forum and ask if you should go then it would seem to me that you know you want to, but perhaps needed a few 'It'll be fantastic' style remarks to encourage you.
Things can be on the verge of sucess for a long time, and in this case one doesn't effect the other, your not choosing to be in the band or not, it could be that you have sucess because of the influence travelling around the world give you. Be confident in yourself, brilliance in whatever field is rewarded at some point. :)
