Bangkok - Saigon

Hey,

did anyone of you travel the route Bangkok - Ho Chi Minh ?
What options do you have and how long does it take ?

I was thinking of going from Bangkok through Cambodia to Saigon with several stops. And to go back to get my flight back to you Europe I want to go directly to Bangkok.

Well Air Asia fly Bangkok to HCMC, so that's the easy part.

I would fly from Bangkok to HCMC and then make it back overland through Cambodia.

From HCMC go to Phnom Penh by bus (not sure how long this is) then down to the beach at Sihanoukville (4-5 hours), across to Thailand stopping at Koh Chang to break the journey (around 8-9 hours). From there you can bus again to Bangkok (about 5 hours) and probably get straight to the airport for your flight back to Europe.
