I'm going to visit a friend who is studying aboad in Paris. A group of her friends are planning to take a trip to Dublin from the 13th to the 16 of March for St.Patricks day. Now my friend wants to go, but I would arrive in Paris after an 8 hour flight and then have to jump back on a plane for two more hours to Dublin. We would then fly back to Paris on the 16th and then I would return home on the 21st.

I am on a tight budget and I have not traveled internationally much before. Do you think that the trip would be too rushed and tiresome if I tried to sqeeze the Dublin weekend in?

Yes, you will probably be tired, but who knows when and if you'll get another chance to hit Dublin? Certainly being with your friends will energize you ! I say GO FOR IT! You can sleep when you die! (or at least nap on the plane!)

Wouldn't normally recommend trying to cram 2 countries into a week, but seeing as you're really just planning on seeing 2 cities why not? Go for it.

In my opinion it is better to have one longer traveling day, than having to go to an airport a day later. It will be a long trip, and you'd probably want to sleep the first day in Dublin, but still I would do it like you wrote. Besides that I think that 8 days in Paris is a bit overdone, (even when visiting a friend) So if you can see Dublin, and a big part of Paris in these 8 days, I would do it.

Yep! Go for it! There's no better way to make you a good hardy traveller. Have a good time and don't get caught up worrying about being tired. As a traveller you'll have days like that.
