help needed about dominican republic!

Hi

Im flying from europe to Dominican republic and when i arrive at puerto plata i will need transport to Santo domingo

I was counting with all transfers from airport to hostel and from hostel to airport + 2 nights in hostel and food that it will cost me more than 100 us dollars so im wondering how much would cost me taxi or rent-a-car with driver to take me to santo domingo airport from puerto plata airport?

i really nedd any advice as im travelling alone.

and one more question is it possible to stay durring night at Santo domingo aiport?

Be aware that there are 3 airports in the local area of Santa Domingo. The International one is about 17 miles from town. This site might help:

I have to admit to being fairly unimpressed with Santo Domingo town. Most tourists stay on the other side of the island and don't travel about much. The is a "shanty town" across the river from the main town. Don't go there. Be very careful at night.

It is only a small airport. Such places usually have early morning flights so accept that people do stay there overnight. Judge for yourself when you arrive.
