I have read some stuff on line about the different areas of Iran, mainly the borders not being safe for travel..
what about Tehran? I have heard that is pretty safe for an American to travel... I have an american passport too..
Am I ok to travel there?

How many americans do u enlist to travel to Tehran every month?
I have heard its not the safest place in the world...
As a travel agent, i undersand that you would have your own motives for saying it is very safe... I would really appreciate your honesty and if u have any opinions to please elaborate.
I understand that I need a VISA as well as a passport to travel to Iran? I already have an AMerican passport..
I appreaciate your help!
Well i live in san diego, but ive been to iran,, its safe evan at this point, i mean theres huge difference between iraq and iran, iranians are very polite there not barbaric like a lot of other countries,, Guns and alcohol are illegal so you dont have to worry about some drunk guy gunning you down haha but its safe country youll be suprised!!
in short no, you are taking a big risk, mainly robbery and abduction. the commonwealth office advises against travel to most parts of Iran, just use your common sense, keep a low profile, dont go within 100k of the afghan border unless you want to die (iraq border is actually more secure than the afghan one.) There have been bomb attacks on western embassies, but granted there are worse places to go...just not that many.
