September is good time to land in chennai. By that time the summer will be over and the temperature will be in range of 30-33 degrees (centegrade) as against around 42 degrees in may/june. But its rains heavely in chennai during october. Again all the festivals in north India starts mid september and continue till end of november. Better to spend more time in east and north india during october/november. |

yes, musharoom - september is a good time to travel in Chennai. The weather is better to travel around and so do the festivities begin after the 3 months of Monsoon. But if u r planning to travel in South India in October, then it is better to stick to the colder climes of the hill stations like Ooty, Kodaikanal, Salem etc. Kerala is also a close option to do from Chennai. |

Yes.. September is a great time to visit Chennai... And Kancheepuram, one of the temple towns of south, is just 80 kms from Chennai... and easily accessible by bus from Chennai... Mahabalipuram(Pandava Caves) too... The Chennai music and dance festival is held during mid December to mid January. |
