Iceland - Feb 2009

Hello,

I have a scheduled flight into Iceland on the 2nd of February 2009 for 7 nights from New York City and was just curious if anyone else has a similar schedule? I travel with a fellow photo buddy going around taking pictures and just enjoying the scenery but unfortunatley he has just cancelled on me and now I am all alone.

Normally I am completely fine with this but doing so in a country where things tend to close it can get quite lonely I am sure. Would be nice to find a travel companion...

The country is bankrupt. The prime minister got the hint after many angry demonstrations and left office. Things are very troubled there at present. I'm not surprised that your friend bailed on you.

Hi,
The exchange rate is great in Iceland at the moment, it's a beautiful country from what I've seen and I'm heading there in March for 6 days, hiring a car and off to see the national parks, geysirs and lagoons.
The country has been hit very hard by the economic down turn and going and spending a bit of money there would probably be very appreciated by them.
