Hey,

Just noticed that the blogs aren't showing right. I'm using IE 6.0 on XP. The fonts look strange (like a default or something), and the side menus are appearing beneath the main text body instead of beside it.

Any particular design that this is affecting?

The default template and postcard aren't showing right. I checked a few others like Olive and the airport one, and they seem fine.

Ok, will have a look tomorrow when I have access to a machine with IE6. The sooner that browser dies the better :) Still at just under 19% of our traffic unfortunately.

I just upgraded to IE7, and am still seeing the same issues. I don't have either of my other computers, so don't have firefox available.

Hmm, well that's more serious then. Strange that this happened - these are pretty heavily tested designs. I wonder what broke it.

Oh, and just in case, is it any specific blog?

Just checked. With IE 7 it is all blogs that use Postcard (or like mine, is based on the Postcard) type. With IE 6 I was seeing the problem on the default blog style as well (travellerspoint), but it seems to work okay with IE 7.

Just had a look and I can see the problem. Although it's inconsistent. The first time I loaded your blog, it loaded fine - then I tried the default Travellerspoint one, that was fine too.

Then I changed to postcard and I got the problem. I have been able to reproduce it on Airport, Ori and Metropolitan as well, but not the Travellerspoint design.

Which is all to say that it's really a pain to work out what's going on, because it's not consistent with what you've experienced. Ah well, needs more looking into.

Another couple of observations

  • The postcard design looks ok for me if the browser window is big enough - it's when it's smaller that it's a problem.
  • On your blog, some entries load ok, while other don't. Also, some pages like the TOC load fine. I thought maybe photos were the issue, but some entries with large photos load just fine as well.
