Hi guys,

I don't often post in this section but here goes.

I am thinking about a thrifty little week or so long trip to France this summer and will cross on the Eurotunnel with my car and a tent. I intend to stay in Calais as long as it takes to fill the boot with cheap booze, cheese and a couple of fresh baguettes before hitting the road!!

Trouble is I don't know where to go. The idea is to hang out beaches, camp somewhere and just laze about in the sun. We may also then head to Paris for a day or two before coming home.

I would like to check out a few different places but am open to suggestions. I could spare 10 days so don't feel confined to 7 days ;)

Thanks

I would go to Provence in the south-eastern part (globally 60 km north of Marseille). For me that is the typical France with small villages and amazing landscapes (such as the gorge-du-Verdon). It has quite a lot of campsites. The cities of Aix-en-provence and even Marseille are interesting cities and are great to hang out.
