Ok... let`s say... I’m your guide! I`m guiding you through the city and telling about building you can see...
Let us imagine that I really know everything about 90% of buildings (what year built, architect, owners, previous functions, and so on...) the question is... would you really be interested in such detailed information? Basically what information would you like to hear from guide, so that it would not be too detailed, and not too little?
Trust me... all your answers will be so essential for new global project...
Thank you in advance!
for me I guess I only want to hear something if it's a weird or strange fact or something that make a building totally unique.
"this building was the tallest in the world when it was first built"
"this building was built with the pulverized bones of the Kings enemies"
"this was built facing the east because it wards off ghosts"
they don't have to be absurd but something unique
generally I don't care about normal facts because I'm just not that interested in buildings.
If I would be you I would go with 2-3 guided tours, listen what the guides are telling the people to keep them interested.
Watch the people who are taking the tour, are they bored, strolling away from the group, fallen asleep (bustour).
Tell them only the real interesting most importend facts,if somebody is really intersted in details then they will ask you.
keep the groups small.
