Remind me not to borrow money off you, Rene! ;)

Okay - I'm curious which Rene you're talking about... I don't see a Rene who has posted, but...

Good luck Wouter! I'm with Joey - I only charge 50US for my services as enforcer. (You pay airfare.)

Me too... and I thought I was drunk and missed Rene's post.

Wouter, don't bother about them. I offer you a guaranteed collection of your €50 for only a charge of £50. Payment upfront though.

Gash, you're tough. Have him sign a paper :/

I'd say, let go, unless you're in deep sh.t.

And according to my experience, if you really want the money, then take it back little by little. Every time you see him, aske for something. 3 euros, 2 euros, 5euros, and write it down on a paper.

I got 3000 from a hard-to-get-money-from client this way. (well amounts were a bit bigger of course)

Well i don't know how rich you are but for me 50 euro is a considerable amount (I need every penny right now;)). And even if it was just 1 euro, its not neath to just keep the money while you borrowed it (and then just keep avoiding the person you borrowed it from). It is disrespectful while i helped him out in the first place.

I totally agree with you on this point, don't misunderstand me. It's just that I would let go, if it were me. I tend to forgive. This person would never ever get a penny again from me, but I would give him this money he meant to borrow. Just because it's a lot of trouble for money. And money's just money. And about how rich I am.... I've been eating dry potatoes for three months , until I started this new job a couple of weeks ago.

But I understand you want to get your money back, this is natural. This was just my first piece of advice ;)

I hope you'll get what you want.

Forgiving is always good, keeps you from anger. But ofcourse you need to reach that point in which you did anything that is in your power to get it back (for me that would probably just treath with a law-suit, further i wouldnt go simply because its not worth the 50 euro);).

Now lets hope my neighbour does not find out about this post
