I've gotta canon eos-20d. I've had it for years now and I've cleaned it quite a few times with one of those rubber bulbs that sprays air on the mirror. that's normally enough but after travelling last year it's been in sand, dirt, mud, ice a lot and now there seems to be some specks of dirt I can't remove.
If I take it to a professional shop are they going to do anything differently to clean it out or will they just do the same thing I would do?
When I've taken my Canon into the service center here in Philly, they tell me whether or not it needs cleaned. They've always been very honest and up front with me about whether or not it was a waste of time/money. Same goes for my lenses. You could also try a can of compressed air first before taking it into the shop. I say give them a call or stop in, if possible, and see what they say.
weird...so I'm not the only one in these forums that is a freelance graphic designer from Philly that travels and takes photos?
where at in the city is the service center? Any idea how much might cost? I'm still sort of unemployed since my return from down under.
