Dear Friends,

I am in London but find it so busy, and unfriendly sometimes, that I just gotta get out. And I want to work with dogs, a charity or something, so I suppose we need space. But I don't want to live in a small place which has no character and pluses (and definitely not Bradford). What do you think?

Aitan.

Try Manchester, its a pretty big city but not too big. Or York, or Edinburgh.

Manchester would get my vote too, but I also love Edinbugh and York. Leeds could also be an option.

What about Sheffield? Its a very friendly city, but big enough to have plenty to do, and good location so its easy to travel to other parts of the country.

Manchester , Liverpool, Bristol, Edinburgh, Galsgow
all are big cities and you can easily access the open spaces from them, unlike London where it could take hours to get out to some countryside.

If you go to Manchester, you can easily get out to the hills and maybe find some dog rescue places to work in.

You could look at smaller towns around Manchester there like Uppermill, Macclesfield, Rochdale etc etc

Good luck

The best thing about Edinburgh is that it is very pretty and only an hour away from Glasgow.

This means that you don't have to live there. It is a bit dull to live in unless you are at the uni there. Also quite a bit more expensive than Edinburgh.

Glasgow is fantastic and very very friendly. And also surprisingly, has some great parks and buildings. Not ugly like you would imagine. I would definitely reccommend there.

Edinburgh - the best city in UK and for me only Paris tops it that I've seen in Europe. Gluck!
