Lately it feels like Beethoven was No. 1 when I was born. I need to take a trip to the sun... SOON.

It's proven again: I was born too late.

It's proven again: I was born too late.

Are you willing to share the prove of that statement or just going to let us formulate our own "conclusions"? I would not vote for the latter as I know some really "interesting" songs I could post as your answers.

USA: Baby, Come To Me - Patti Austin & James Ingram
UK: Too Shy - Kajagoogoo
Aus: Gloria - Laura Branigan

I don't know any of those songs.

Ohmygoodness--now THAT comment just made me feel old!

They go like:

Baby, come to me, let me put my arms around you hmm....hmmm...hmm..

And

You're too shy-shy, hush-hush-i-do-i (at least that's the lyrics I always heard)

And finally...

Gloria, Gloria, I think they've got your number, Gloria, I think they've got the alias, alias, that you've been living UNDER... (I think I had that on 45...)

It made you feel old, T?? The only version I know of Gloria is done by Them (Van Morrison's group from 1964). Okay - Patti Smith did a pretty cool version too. So, I guess that means I know 2 versions.

  • Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick - Ian Dury & The Blockheads (UK)
  • Too Much Heaven - The Bee Gees (US)
  • Y.M.C.A. – Village People (Aus)

Is it just me, or does that list just seem a little -not-so-straight- ?!

No idea who Ian Dury & The Blockheads are, but I think I might have to look it up.
