Anyone from Boston?

Looking to work in Boston for a few monthes i have applied for a few jobs through networking agencies in Ireland. Is it as good as they make it sound ? Fingers crossed i get the position and i will find out for myself

Boston is the best!!! I've lived here for two years and never want to live anywhere else (though I do want to TRAVEL almost everywhere else!) When are you planning to be here? Each season has its perks but I think autumn here is like nowhere else.

Depends on what time of the year you are coming. Fall is really beautiful in New England but as soon as it starts getting cold, it gets very depressing.

Also, if you are looking for a city life, I wouldn't recommend Boston. It is a nice place but more like a big village.

Thanks for the feedback.. it's great to chat to someone who knows a lot more about it than me. Planning to come around summer time, just finishing up in university at the minute. So as soon as i graduate i am hoping to move over. The Job is a 10 month contract so it will be a great experience. Irelands like that aswell as soon as it gets cold its bad times ! But its a nice place to be other wise.

I am looking for city life but nothing to big and scarey as i will be on my own. Is it far from New York ?

good luck to you, but don't get discouraged if you don't get a job right away. it may be a bit tough as our economy is pretty much in a state of emergency...and it gets worse and worse everyday. you may have better luck once you get here though.

its just for the experience really, a good job would be a bonus ! but if i had some kind of income to keep me going i will be well chuffed. I am having a really difficult time getin jobs here at the moment aswell. Things are just as bleak. I actually thought it was pretty closer to New York than what it is. I always wanted to see Miami aswell.. i look at pictures and it looks like paradise.
