Hello to all of you. To anyone who is familiar with Rome, I was wondering, which is the best form of transportation once I arrive in Termini to go to my hotel in Spanish Steps?
The bus? Can I bring my luggage inside the bus?
The Metro? Will it not be a problem bringing my luggage thru the turnstyle?
The Taxi? I have heard stories of taxi drivers taking a person all around the city before finally arriving in their hotel, hence paying almost 25 Euro for the fare.
I don't know if it would be cheaper and more convenient to take the subway to my hotel (Spanish steps) when I arrive in Termini Station after taking the Airport express from Fiumicino.
And would it be ok as well to take the subway back to Termini from my hotel on my way back to the airport?
I heard the subway/metro is just one level down from the arrival hall.
But like in other cities, some turnstyles are a problem when one is bringing a suitcase thru this moving and narrow turnstyle.
And I don't know how crowded it would be when traveling to my hotel via subway/metro. I heard that pickpockets/thieves use the subway as their haunts.
Thank you for your advice.
