What (decent) day trips are available from Sharm-el-Sheikh?

Hopefully Pyramids, Sphinx, or something.

Typically are internal flights used?

When I was there a few years ago internal flights were not really used for tourists on any sort of budget but things might have changed a bit as I have noticed that internal flights are often pretty full between the major cities. As for the Pyramids being a "day trip" from Sharm El Sheikh", unless they have now got a perfectly straight road that doesn't have the multiple stops for passport inspections as well as buses every 15 minutes instead of a few times a day, it is not really a day trip! It may be possible to do it in a day, but not adviseable. It would be a much more adviseable day trip from Cairo instead of Sharm El Sheikh.

Dahab would be a much better place not for a day trip, but to go to from Sharm El Sheikh and then do the night time voyage to Mount Sinai.

Hi you can do Cairo in a day - havedone it myself. To fly it is only 50 mins from Sharm. You can take a bus leaving at 1.30 in the morning and arriving back around midnight.

No my friend take around 5 ahours from sharm El sheikh to Cairo and we can help could you give me the dates?
