Hi everyone :)

I'm 28 years old, from Norway. I'm going on a trip, starting in 10 days, 25 feb, unntil 15 aug. This is going to be my first travel (more than a holiday that is), and Im going solo. Its a very impulsive trip. I sort of got a now or never-feeling, and with the market being the way it is, its the best time to leave. My company was so nice to give me 7 months of unpaid leave, so I should have a job when I get back ;) I have rented out my flat and sold my car, which was only 6 months old, so that wasnt really a rewarding deal but oh well. I know its going to be worth it

My route is something like this:

25 feb: norway - buenos aires- going to chile, peru and brasil.

2 may: sao paulo - johannesburg

20 may: johannesburg - mumbai

28 may: mumbai - dehli

6 june: dehli - bangkok

- going to laos, cambodia, vietnam and the phillippes.

15 aug: bangkok - norway

Anyone who have/is going to do something like this?

Katrine

Wow impressive Katrine, i wasn't this fortunate but I did a few overland trips which were pretty awesome. I see you are going to India, if you need any info abt this country I can help you because I have been there twice. I have become pretty addicted to India (especially to Delhi). Have a lot of fun and keep us updated!;)

Hey Katrine,

I'm kinda feeling the same way. I graduated school a year or so ago and headin' out on my 2nd backpacking trip (1st was to Europe) to Australia, South Pacific, and Asia. I'll be gone for 6 months and I'm also traveling solo. I got a visa so I can work in Australia for a bit and save up money. My plan is very rough and goes a little something like this:

Australia: (Great Barrier, Ayer's Rock, Blue Mountains, Sydney, Brisbane, and Gold Coast)
Fiji
Samoa (Upolu, Savaii)
New Zealand
Indonesia (Bali)
Thailand (Bangkok, Ko Phangnan, Ko Sumai, Ko Phi Phi Don and Ley)
Hong Kong
Japan (Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, Nara, Tokyo)

Yea!!! Have fun!
Lauren
