I have pretty much cemented the opening part to my Europe tour (lasting 2 months). I'm travelling by train:
Brussels/Bruges/Ghent (5 nights)
Cologne (2 nights)
Berlin (3 nights)
Prague (3 nights)
Wien (3 nights)
Budapest (3 nights)
Zagreb (3 nights)
22 Nights
Now this is where I have to start making decisions. I originally planned to do:
Ljubljana (2 nights)
Venice (2 nights)
Milan (2 nights)
6 Nights
Thing is, I'm not mad about going to Milan. But I really want to see the coast of Croatia right down to Dubrovnik. So how about this instead?
Dubrovnik and coast of Croatia (4 nights)
Naples (2 nights) (via ferry)
Rome (2 nights)
Florence & Pisa (2 nights)
Venice (1 night)
Milan (1 night)
12 Nights
Then I will proceed to where I was originally going to go:
Zurich and surrounding area (3 nights)
Bern and surrounding area (3 nights)
Barcelona (3 nights) (flight)
Madrid (1 night)
Sevilla (2 nights)
Malaga and surrounding area (3 nights)
15 Nights
Flight back to London
First option is 43 nights, so that's less than two months. The first option might be better beacuse it adds on an extra few days, totalling up at 49 nights so that takes up a bit more time. I reckon I might be underbudgeting how long I am staying in places - perhaps I need to take into account that there might be a really place I am not yet familiar with that I should stop at? Basically though my question is twofold. I'd prefer to do the route down the coast of Croatia, but a) would it take too long and b) would the ferry accross to Bari in Italy cost too much? Would be really helpful if somebody could assess my circumstances and offer me some advice!
Thanks
