Driving Phoenix to Atlanta

In May I will be driving from Phoenix through Dallas-FW, and then Memphis (gotta see Graceland), and then to Atlanta.
Are there any sights to see along the way?

I have driven from Phoenix to Dallas, then to Memphis, then from Memphis to Nashville. There's lots of sights to see and places to visit, however, I could fill a book, so it would be helpful if you could tell us your interests. History, geology, vegetation, shopping, restaurants, bars, clubs, National Parks, Scenic byways rather than Interstates?

In addition to the cities mentioned, I'd also consider a stop in either Santa Fe or at the Carlsbad Caverns (depending upon whether you plan to take the northern or southern route between Phoenix and Dallas.

Here's some food for thought: I would stop off in Santa Fe, NM, maybe with a detour up to Taos. Then I would hit Cadillac Ranch on my way through TX. Stop off in Austin, maybe go down to San Antonio to see the Alamo. Then over to New Orleans. Head up the river road to Memphis, and then through Lynchburg to Jack Daniel's distillery. Then camp out in the Great Smokey Mountains before driving down the rest of the Blue Ridge Parkway into Atlanta. Have fun!
