350 bucks. Lots of schools in Utila, which is the cheapest place in the world to dive. There are a couple of low rent schools who will give it to you for somewhat cheaper...but they are lowrent. The prices SHOULD be about the same for the rest of them. They all had a gentleman's agreement not to undercut each other a couple of years ago because their prices were all racing for the bottom. You can see whether the recession has made it so they went back on that agreement.

Roatan has better coral has a lot more to see on the island...but it's substantially more expensive. The bohemian types shy away from it and all engage in rampant boozing and anonymous sex on Utila instead. I used to be a big Utila supporter. Roatan is just a more interesting island.

If you do go to Utila, tell John Wayne and Buck Rogers that Derek said hello and hoped that they saved their boat from the reef okay.
