I'm on 23 (+8 bank holidays) i also have a day carried over. At BMW though it was 30!

So far I've booked 5 workdays days away in Egypt, 4 iin Lithuania, 4 in Athens, 4 in the Baltics.

I am taking a litle over 6 weeks, starting mar.10/09.
We have a pretty relaxed policy about taking time off. Since everyone in the office seems to be travel addicts, my girlfriend and I have covered for everyone elses extended trips over the past year. It's our turn now.

I get 20 days. Until recently the standard in New Zealand was only 15 days.

I get as many days as I like since I work for myself! Note, this doesn't always work in one's favor. Something about time v. money or is it Money v. time? I can never seem to figure that one out. In my previous life as a full time employee, and in the offices where I freelance, employees get only 10 days of vacation a year and anywhere between 8-10 days public holidays.

Oh, this is a painful question! I get 15 days off, plus whatever public holidays are thrown our way. Our company is very generous, though, and gives us 4 extra-long weekends during the summer as a thank you. I shouldn't complain--as many people are stuck with the standard 10 days off--but Neal had 35 days off in Luxembourg a few years ago and I haven't gotten over that yet...

Idem to this. So far I've been taking 3-4 months out each year (with some careful planning of projects). This year I have a client which wants to put me to work for the entire year, so I'll probably have to more or less confirm to what their employees are doing (25 days, I think? don't really know...), but I'll make up for that by taking off for all of 2010 (hopefully working in Canada for 2-3 months), so it balances out. :)

Usually standard around 47. But it basically comes down to almost 55

You'd best get yourself an alarm system, Michael, cause somebody's going to come a-robbin' you sometime soon...

28 + 1 for long service, this year. I'll also get 5 study days for being at uni part time (but it doesn't specify where I have to study :) ).

T, I think we need to change jobs and learn how to control the traffic lights around the world - remotely, of course. Who says working for the government is a bad thing... (okay, we'd have to speak Dutch but I've watched Goldmember...)

I have 313 days of vacation and work 52 days a year. Okay, that's doing the grocery shopping and errands. But, you spend an hour at a WalMart and tell me that's not work. Then there's picking out the freshest vegies and meat which takes some talent. Pushing the cart is like having a mailroom clerk's job and they get paid for that.

Beerman should have 15 days of vacation. But, since we haven't quite figured out the owner's way of calculating vacation and sick time, it's looking like it might be closer to 18 days. He also gets ~9 days spread out over Easter, July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. The calculations for sick days seems to give him ~11 more (and no one says you have to be that sick).
