This was probably one of the most dangerous things he ever did

I like the show, but was not expecting something so brazen. I know they film things for dramatic effect, this is an great example. Let's face it, Bear has a film crew along with him. I hope they do not let him do something that is really life threatening. He does enough things that I would never do; ie. jump into ice cold water, parachute out of a perfectly good airplane, climb up a waterfall. I will give him a pass on the lava bridge crosssing.

Totally agree Mike,
I am a big fan of him, and especially like the things he eat. Number one is a meat of a zebra which was still warm
Maybe this was a case of 'under time pressure' when some things had to be filmed quickly for a new series or something.

I also agree with mike. I mean when he eats those bugs it's pretty real. when he jumps into icey water it pretty real. when he runs around doing push ups naked in the alps to get his body temp up that's pretty real. Didn't he climb Everest when he was 23? He is far from being a phoney. He just has to do things every so often to make the show pace better and feel more entertaining.

When you do video shoots sometimes you don't always get all of the footage you need so you go back and re-shoot things.

wasn't this from the first season where they ripped him a new one for wearing a life preserver under his jacket in the river, and then they redesigned the entire show? there was a ton of press on that here in the states. In the first season, they made the program seem as though he was actually living out the scenario in "real time", however afterwards, he started tell you when he was demonstrating something and they showed the film crew a lot more.

i liked the clip though! any one of us can be an adventurer! even vegasmike!

This video is awesome (5 STARS) I was laughing so hard when you changed from bear to you, assuming that was you reenacting the same jump.

This is just PLAIN stupid! It sucks. He is such a fraud. Everyone can eat weird stuff. If that is your way of program making then you are pretty frustrated.

This happens more often than you can imagine. I was watching a TV special (can't remember which show) about how almost every wildlife show fakes their shots. They use trained animals, animals released into the shot, all kinds of tricks. Included were most of the Discovery channel shows, Disney wildlife shows, National Geographic, etc. I know some of those amazing photos in National Geographic are staged in studios and zoos.

I'm of two minds about it all. It's not reality that's true. But the reality is a lot more boring than the TV show. Let's be honest would anyone watch it ?
