I'm of two minds about it all. It's not reality that's true. But the reality is a lot more boring than the TV show. Let's be honest would anyone watch it ?

Yeah, know what you mean, it's like porn

Can't say that's been my experience.

The guy drank his own pee.

We all know to take anything we see on TV with a grain of salt. But I saw him drink pee, and I believed it.

He has my vote for harcore.

I like Survivor Man though.

I was watching a TV special (can't remember which show) about how almost every wildlife show fakes their shots. They use trained animals, animals released into the shot, all kinds of tricks. Included were most of the Discovery channel shows, Disney wildlife shows, National Geographic, etc. I know some of those amazing photos in National Geographic are staged in studios and zoos.

I used to totally believe these shows (Crocodile Hunter, etc), until my husband, a former ZA game ranger, pointed out to me that, not only were the scenes staged, it was often in a completely different different habitat than the animal/reptile would have lived, not to mention the likelihood of "bumping into" the elusive species is pretty much next to nil. In fact, he yells at the tv on a constant basis here in America and can't believe how gullible we all are...especially when Bear Grylls just happened upon that fresh zebra kill or talked about how dangerously close he was to those elephants. Come on! But I still love Bear! He gets naked in the snow! That's enough for me!!!
