I'm currently planning a 3 month backpacking trip to Europe. I would like to hit up Ireland, UK, Italy, Greece, Spain, Czech, Germany, Sweden, and France and possibly take a ferry to Morocco. So far, Im going on my own and I can not wait. Im looking for other people to meet up with along the way. Im a 22 year old male that just graduated college in December. I'm saving money right now by working full time as a personal trainer. Anyone interested feel free to drop me a line, Aaron.

Hi Aaron, I am Zoe from Hong Kong. I am looking for a companion to do my graduation trip with in June-July 09.
I travelled to western Europe last summer for 40 days, and this year I want to travel to Eastern Europe like Czech Republic, Hungary, and also Greece. I see you travel for 3 months, so may be we can plan something together if you agree.
I am a final year Uni student in Nursing, fluent in English, easygoing, independent, clean, and I can contribute in making plans for sure. Zoe

Hi Aaron!

Sounds exciting! I'll be bumming around Europe around the same time. I definitely recommend Morocco! But it would probably be cheaper to catch a Ryanair flight from Dublin etc. It was only 7 Euros last time I went. Check out Marrakesh. Incredibly different vibe from most of Western Europe, and everyone is incredibly hospitable. The family at the local internet cafe wouldn't let us leave without feeding us and treating us to mint tea.

But yes, main point - look into the budget airlines - Ryanair, Wizzair, Aerlingus etc. rather than boats or trains. It means less travel time and more time to explore!

I'm going to the Netherlands around May or June, see old friends and family. I think I'm going to make a trip to Sweden and Norway, do u guys have a suggestion? Does anybody going to these places?

I was actually thinking of buying a eurail pass. Can you still get decent deals on flights without booking far in advance?

It's better to book in advance for cheap flights. The eurail pass somehow is not so convenient if you are travelling long distance between cities, and you need to pay the reservation charge too. The TGV trains can be full, my friend had experience waiting at Paris main train station for 6 hours to get a seat on a TGV train to Marseille.

I will be in Berlin from May 9th until June 6th for a study abroad program. Where do you plan on starting? Maybe we can meet up somewhere.

Right now it looks like I'll be flying into the UK on July 2nd unless I can find a cheaper flight. Once I get there I'm going to make my way to Spain to run from the bulls, and after that I'd like to go all over. Sweden, Czech, Ireland, Italy, and Greece are the countries I would like to spend a longer time in. I'm not huge on all of the touristy stuff I would more so like to get off the beaten path and see how other people live.

One thing to note if you're headed to Pamplona for St Fermin - Book a hostel WAY ahead of time. MONTHS ahead... otherwise you'll be sleeping in the local park.

Also, you can rent balconies to watch from :)

OH! And read "the Sun Also Rises" by Hemmingway. It made the Running of the Bulls famous to English speakers...
