Hey all, im doing two trips in South Africa over the summer, both conservation related, one in the kruger national park area for 4 weeks from the 6th July to August 3rd, and then another from August 3rd to the 31st August in a private game reserve a short distance away from East London.

Just looking to see if anyone is interested in coming along on one of these or both of them?

I've thought about doing volunteer work in Africa but it gets kind of costly to pay the agency. What are your plans for your trip and what are the costs?

Hey, yeah it does get pretty expensive through the agencies but I like the fact that everything is pretty much sorted for you, so it takes a lot of hassle out of it for you!

Well, im doing the two trips, "one in the kruger national park area for 4 weeks from the 6th July to August 3rd, and then another from August 3rd to the 31st August in a private game reserve a short distance away from East London", and the total for both of them came to about £2600 GBP! Then i also have the flights to South Africa which were about £500 GBP non stop return from London to Johannesburg which isnt too bad, then spending money on top of that etc.

www.realgap.com is the website i booked them through, and the courses were called Wildlife Conservation Course Kruger (doing in July) and the Wildcoast Conservation Course (in August). Both also have food and accomodation included which is a plus!
