Here's the bus route maps for Maui: http://www.co.maui.hi.us/index.asp?NID=1310 and here's the bus route maps for Kauai: http://www.kauai.gov/Government/Departments/TransportationAgency/BusSchedules/tabid/208/Default.aspx The jungle on Maui is on the famous "Road to Hana" and even past the city of Hana. The jungle on Kauai is on the north coast, out past Princeville. Both places are great--my wife prefers Kauai and I prefer Maui--but then I got injured on Kauai--so maybe that affects my decision. There is surfing and scuba diving on both these islands--though the best surfing is on Oahu. Probably it is easier to surf and scuba dive on Kauai than on Maui--but I think the jungle is much more interesting--and extensive and accessible on Maui than on Kauai. No matter your choice, you will enjoy yourself. |
