Hi Guys..

For flying internally in Australia, from Sydney to Cairns for example. Do customs check your passport/visa or is it like the UK where you can just show your drivers licence as I.D?

As an Australian citizen they've only ever checked my drivers license, not sure it would be any different if you weren't a citizen. Surely you would have your passport on you anyway, as a back-up, if they wouldn't accept your UK driver's license?

normally a driving license wil suffice for internal flights but I normally just use my passport anyway.

There is absolutely no need to use your passport. Drivers licence will suffice.

Perfect, the person i'm travelling with isnt entirely legal and we were worried incase he would flag up or something lol!!
