27th Friday - Staying in Hilton San Francisco first day just chill and explore a bit
28th Sat - Staying in Hilton San Francisco visit sights. (Chinatown/Little Italy/Fisherman’s Wharf/Palace of Fine Arts/Cable Cars)
29th Sun - Staying in Hilton San Francisco and then 4.20pm Alcatraz Trip
30th Mon – Drive to San Jose, visit the Winchester Mystery House, continue on to Santa Cruz and Monterey. Spend night in Monterey or Carmel
31st Tue –Visit Monterey aquarium for 1-2 hours, drive along Monterey coast, take a drive on the 17 mile drive through Pebble Beach (takes about 2-3 hours).
1st Wed – Visit Cannery Row in Monterey in morning, then drive down Highway 1 to Cambria and book stay on Moonstone Beach in Cambria. Visit Hearst Castle in late afternoon; (book tickets ahead because they often are sold out).
2nd Thurs -Take Highway 46 east through Paso Robles area and visit the wineries there. Do a bit of sampling and then drive on down back to coastline and south to Morro Bay for a nice dinner. Continue on to San Luis Obispo for evening visit and stay in hotel. Visit the Apple Farm Inn and the Madonna Inn to see unusual sights.
3rd Fri –Go down to Los Olivos and have a nice lunch there. Then continue on to Solvang, an old Danish town. Visit the town and also the ostrich farm nearby. Continue on to Santa Barbara where you will stay the night.
4th Sat –Visit the mission in the morning or at lunchtime. Walk up and down state street—and also visit the coastline near the pier. Drive on to Los Angeles this evening, taking highway 1 through Malibu and into Santa Monica where you will stay.
5th Sun – Visit Venice Beach in the morning/afternoon. Pick the LA spots you want to visit—for example, Huntington Library in San Marino or Universal Studios near Burbank or Disneyland in Anaheim, or the coast near Huntington Beach and Newport Beach or visit a TV show--I suggest the Jay Leno show if it is filming then (NBC Studios in Burbank). Stay somewhere near one of these places.
6th Mon –Visit the second of the places you are interested from the list above, or head north to go up to Fresno if you plan to visit Yosemite.
7th Tue—Drive back to San Francisco all in one day—or else spend this day driving through Yosemite and then back towards San Francisco.
8th Wed – Morning spent visiting a few last spots in San Francisco—or else visiting the Muir Woods just north of San Francisco—or Sausalito via the ferry, then back to San Francisco for the Baseball match in San Francisco at 7pm ish
9th Thurs - Get ready for flight back home
