Where to go in the Caribbean?

Me and some friends are planning a trip to the Caribbean and we wondered where we should go.

Havana seems like a must, but we also would like to hit some beaches and meet American girls.

Our trip should be a mix between Culture an Party, so Islands with both are preferable. We have no idea about how to get between islands or how long we are planning to stay, but it would be best is if the route has 4 or 5 stops.

Well, I loved Barbadoes....but that was a long time ago. I have no idea of the prices there.

Unsung islands include Colombia's Provedencia and Honduras' Bay Islands. Both places with a Caribe soul and much cheaper than places like Jamaica. You may be wanting for services, though.

corn islands and belize are worth researching. of course that is on the other side of the caribbean. i have been looking into travel between caribbean islands. there are ferries, which you can research on this site. also airplanes....but that is more $.

Havana is a great place with friendly people (though buses can get VERY crowded and there are some pickpockets.)

Barbados is nice. So is Puerto Rico and St Thomas. I liked Guadeloupe but there has been a lot of trouble there recently. Dominican Republic I have mixed feelings on. Dominica I didn't like a lot. St Kitts is so-so and like Antigua not a lot going on. Belize City I thought was a dump (most go stay on one of the islands). Jamaica I would not go again if you paid me. Cayman Islands are nice. Grenada wasn't bad. St Lucia I have mixed feelings over.

Distances are great and travelling between the islands is expensive.

Maybe a town and beach holiday on Cuba then pick out an island or two? From Cuba you could hop over to Cancun (Mexico) which has fantastic beaches, night life, some sites and sights nearby.

If you are serious about meeting American girls, I would suggest that you go to Nassau, Bahamas

I think Margarita Island is nice too =) it depends on what you're looking for too but it's a nice place to meet!!! Beaches are nice and partying is cool too, plus is tax free!!!

HAVANA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, JAMAICA, COZUMEL, CANCUN...

How about these? lots of culture, history nice people!!

I second Margarita Island, Venezuela. But a side trip to Los Roques from Porlamar is a no-miss.

From what i read i have not seen anybody mention Grenada as a place to go in the Caribbean. I personally will like to travel to Grenada some time soon for my vacation.
So therefore i think Grenada should be added to the list of " Where to go in the Caribbean?". It is from what i have researched and what close friends who have traveled to Grenada have told me is a wonderful country.
The country has many different places to visit like waterfalls, lakes, white sandy beaches, there are also tour companies the can take you snorkeling, sailing, hiking, etc.
There are many websites that can tell you everything you need to know abut the country.
