I love traveling & i love going by myself to strange & distant places.
I'm from London & have only one week 21st march - 28th march to go somewhere and enjoy myself as i begin a new job (and won't be able to go away for a while)
I've seen a lot of Europe & would prefer elsewhere but obviously i can't travel too far for 7 days.
Where would you suggest?
Have you been to Balkans - Croatia for example? Very beautiful and interesting places - and one week seems perfect.
You've probably booked by now, but I agree wholeheartedly with the last poster, Croatia is a must. Short travel time. Dubrovnik is a short bus ride (busses meet every flight) and cheap. Depending on what accommodation you want you can get everything from a room in someone's house to a five star hotel. Lots of day trips that will fill your week, and plenty of great food.
Sorry if I'm too late with my advice.
Thanks for the replies everyone.
I went to Croatia in September so i marked that off the list early. It didn't live up to my expectations to be honest - the people i encountered were generally unfriendly and other than the natural beauty of the islands, there was very little to do in September.
Anyway, I found leaving my job more time consuming than i thought so when i actually had the time to book a flight the prices had sky-rocketted. Which is a bit crap to say the least.
Still, once i earn enough money from this new job, numerous countries in Asia are on the top of the list.
