How do you make your luggage look different. I have chased down so many people who have picked mine up. I am thinking of putting a coat of gold glitter all over mine so that when people pick it up they go," WOW what is this glitter getting all over me? O this isn't my luggage!"

I always put ribbon on the handles--usually colourful Christmas ribbon. That way I can spot my bag in a second. I once bought a duffle bag that was bright red with Roots written across the sides, only to pull off someone else's identical bag. I only stopped to check when I wondered why it was so heavy. So it's been ribbons ever since... You can also buy those elastics you wrap around your suitcase. They come in all kinds of colours.

I just put different color electrical tape on the handles of mine, and have never had a problem. It is cheap and effective.

On a trip back from Scotland I put a red plaid ribbon plus a bright lime green ribbon on just to be safe. Picked up my bags from the carasoul, drove halfway home and then got a call from the airport saying I had the wrong bag? Sure enough, an absolutely identical bag, ribbons and all....filled with sweaters! Back to the airport to pick up my bag with the bottles of scotch for my hubbie!!
Now my dear husband has put a big giant "R" on the side of my suitcase with duct tape. Haven't had a problem since!

half a kilo of marijuana buried in your bag, will usually get you some assistance from those cute little beagle doggies in locating your bag. You'll also score some free accommodations and meet some fabulous BFE!

I recently put a large (16"x18")stencil of a tribal art lion as well as my initials on mine. It is working out well. I bought stencils at the craft store and simply spray stencil paint. It looks great! Remember to use temporary spray glue on the stencil to keep it in place while you spray. The stencil area has to be FLAT. You could put anything unique on with this spray.

[ Edit: Sorry, no promos please. ]

There are website travel advisory companies that do straps with your name embroidered into them, that you tie round your bag. If your bag is black then you can buy one in white and blue (for example). If your bag is green, then you can buy one in red and black. They're ever so cheap (about £7), very robust - and as well as identifying your caes, are extremely good quality ties too.
