Hi, I'm travelling thailand during the month of Aug. I'm starting in Bangkok, then going down to phuket, karabi (sorry if spelt wrong), Kho samui, then a national park, back to bangkok and on to chang mai. I'm going with a (girl) friend, i've done some touring before so i feel comfortable, just wondered if anyone had any safety advice? I also wondered how easy it is to travel around, according to the Lon planet its quite easy, but its nice to have that backed up.

Thanks Cat

Keep your travel plans flexible and keep up on the weather. Heavy rains could affect your travels.

Actually, in my opinion, it does.

Here are the 30 year averages for Chiang Mai, Bangkok and Krabi. At least in the Bangkok area, most of the rain comes down all at once, leaving most of the day open for play.
