thailand travel advice!

Hi, I'm travelling thailand during the month of Aug. I'm starting in Bangkok, then going down to phuket, karabi (sorry if spelt wrong), Kho samui, then a national park, back to bangkok and on to chang mai. I'm going with a (girl) friend, i've done some touring before so i feel comfortable, just wondered if anyone had any safety advice? I also wondered how easy it is to travel around, according to the Lon planet its quite easy, but its nice to have that backed up. Thanks Cat |

Keep your travel plans flexible and keep up on the weather. Heavy rains could affect your travels. |

Actually, in my opinion, it does. Here are the 30 year averages for Chiang Mai, Bangkok and Krabi.
